I was urged that I would be called on a Mission from Canada.

When the call did not come as I had expected it, I took a job again with the sheep.

I had now everything settled what family affairs concern, and I had a desire to work myself into the sheep business, as I had been herding a number of years, and I had studied it, and would like to have a chance to work in to get some of my own.

As I came to work for Harvey from Lethbridge, he wanted an experienced man to go in with him, in the sheep business, and offered me a chance to get a start with sheep. That was just what I was looking for, so I thought to myself that I must inquire of the Lord if that was the right thing to do, if that was His will.

I started in deep humility to pray to my God if that was His will, that I should go in with Mr. Harvey to the sheep business.
