Just as soon as I had started to pray, I was deeply impressed by the Spirit and had full faith to get an answer to my prayer.

In my prayer I said to the Lord, “Speak to me and I will obey You.”

I was kneeling down on the prairie ground and as soon as I raised up from my prayers, a voice spoke to me like this, “Marinus my son, don’t want you to go into the sheep business now, I want you to go on a Mission.”

O, that wonderful voice penetrated me all through my should from head to toe. I now immediately asked who was talking to me.

All at once the wonderful power of the Holy Ghost was shot forth upon me with the most astonishing force of power, testifying to me this: “You have been in the presence of God and heard His voice. He is it that has been speaking to you. Now this is the word of the Lord to me, and it surpasses all understanding.”

It happened on a very nice clear day in the fall of the year. This is not a dream, but in reality true, every word of it. It is my wonderful experience which will never be forgotten.
